Use the waitlist

Last updated October 4, 2026

Summary

Collect customers who want a time you do not have, and tell them when one opens.

Where it is

Schedule → Waitlist holds everyone waiting, with what they want and when they are free.

How people join

Customers ask to join from your booking page when the time they want is unavailable, and you can add someone yourself.

What happens when a spot opens

When a matching appointment is cancelled, OperMae emails waiting customers a link to claim that time. Claiming the link creates the appointment. A business with no plan yet keeps the waitlist and does not send that email automatically.

What it does not do

The waitlist never books someone who has not claimed the opening, and a waitlist entry never holds or blocks a slot on your calendar — the time stays bookable by anyone until it is booked.

Keeping it useful

Remove entries once they are booked or no longer relevant, so the list stays worth reading.
