Makeup artist booking software for timed appointments

A makeup trial and a wedding-day appointment are two visits with two lengths. OperMae lets a makeup artist publish those services, set the hours they can keep, and take a deposit on the appointments that are costly to lose.

Trials and event days get mixed up in messages

An artist who is in a chair cannot answer every text about a trial, a lesson, and a wedding morning. Two clients end up holding the same hour.

OperMae shows the services you published and the times your hours still have open. The client books one of those times. You keep the appointment and the client on one calendar.

What a makeup artist can set up

  • Trials, event makeup, and lessons

Publish each as its own service with a duration and a price. A trial does not have to take as long as the event-day appointment. An add-on, such as lashes with the makeup, can add time and price to that visit.

  • Your hours, or a small artist team

Set weekly hours and time off. If more than one artist uses the page, each can offer their own services. A client chooses an artist when several people offer the service.

  • A deposit before the date is held

Turn a deposit on for the services where a cancellation is expensive. The amount is charged through your Stripe account at booking. Other services can stay pay-at-visit. OperMae does not add a platform fee.

  • A mobile location, without a route planner

You can publish a location as “we travel to customers,” with the public note you want clients to read. OperMae does not plan a driving route, estimate a job, or dispatch an artist across a map.

How a makeup appointment is booked

  1. The client chooses the appointment

They see the trial, the event makeup, or the lesson, with the length and price you set.

  2. They choose a time you can keep

Open times come from the artist’s hours and from visits already booked.

  3. They see the cancellation rule

The policy you wrote is on the booking before they confirm.

  4. Both of you have the record

The visit is on your calendar. The client receives an email confirmation, and a reminder based on your settings.

Makeup examples

  • A trial and the event day

Book them as two services. The trial’s duration does not decide how long the event-day appointment lasts.

  • Several people in one party

Each person books their own appointment, or you book them from the calendar. OperMae does not run a group class roster.

  • An artist who works from a studio

Publish the studio as a location clients visit, with the address and arrival note you enter. Hours still follow the artist, not a second clock for the room.

What stays in the workspace

  • Client profiles keep contact details, past appointments, and notes you write.
  • Email confirmation and reminders follow your notification settings. Text reminders require an opt-in.
  • You can ask your own booking questions. Forms and waivers are a $10/month add-on on Pro and included on Team.
  • Pro includes up to 2 people in the workspace. Team includes up to 6, and additional people are a paid add-on. Current prices are on the pricing page.

Questions

Can I take a deposit on a wedding trial?

Yes. A deposit is optional on each service and is charged through the Stripe account you connect. The remainder is due at the visit.

Does OperMae route artists to client homes?

No. A mobile location tells the client that you travel. It does not build a route or estimate travel time.

Can several artists share one page?

Yes. Each artist can have their own services, hours, and time off.
