Salons

Salon booking software for stylists and salon teams

A salon book has to know which stylist does which service, how long that service takes, and when that stylist is free. OperMae is salon booking software for that schedule: one public page, each provider's hours, and the client's visit in one place.

A salon book is a set of people, not one calendar

Color, a cut, and a blowout do not take the same amount of time, and they are not always done by the same person. If the book ignores that, clients get offered times nobody can keep.

OperMae lets you describe each salon service with its duration and price, then attach it to the stylists who perform it. Clients only see times those hours allow.

What a salon can configure

  • A service menu clients can book

Add each service with its length and price. Put a deposit on the services where you want one, such as a longer color appointment, and leave a quicker visit as pay at the salon.

  • Stylists with their own hours

Each provider can have services, weekly hours, and time off. A client can request a stylist or take the first person who is free for that service.

  • A page that looks like your salon

Add your name, logo, photos, and the public contact details and arrival notes for your location. Choose which sections clients see, including prices, providers, and policies.

  • The visit after they book

Confirmations and reminders go by email. Text reminders are sent only when the client has opted in, and they follow your plan's message allowance. The appointment, notes, and payment stay on the client profile.

A typical salon booking

  1. The client picks a service

They see the services you published, with the duration and price you set.

  2. They pick a stylist or the first open time

Only stylists who offer that service and are working appear.

  3. They confirm the policy

Your cancellation note is on the booking, so the rule is visible before the visit is saved.

  4. The salon sees it on the calendar

Front desk and stylists work from the same appointment instead of a separate paper column.

Salon situations this covers

  • A guest who always sees the same stylist

They choose that provider. If the stylist is booked, the client can join the waitlist for a matching opening and is sent a link when one appears.

  • A color service that should take a deposit

Turn the deposit on for that service only. The payment is collected through your Stripe account at booking.

  • A new stylist joining the team

Add them with the role you want them to have, the services they perform, and whether they show on the booking page. Team scheduling and provider reporting are part of the Team plan.

Why salons use a shared book

  • The front desk and the stylist are looking at the same appointment.
  • A client history shows past visits and what they spent, plus your internal notes.
  • Gift cards are included on Pro and Team if you sell them.
  • You can export bookings, clients, and payments when you need a spreadsheet.

Questions

Can more than one stylist share the booking page?

Yes. Each provider has their own services and hours. Clients can pick a stylist or the first available person who can do the service.

Can I hide a stylist who is not taking new clients?

You choose whether a provider appears on the booking page. Their existing appointments stay in the workspace.

Does this calculate staff pay or track products for sale?

No. OperMae covers booking, clients, appointment payments, reminders, and reporting. It does not calculate staff pay or track products you sell.
