Section 01
Program overview
Their first month free. Your month after they pay.
The OperMae referral program lets an existing OperMae business invite another business to OperMae. The referred business gets its first subscription month free. After that business makes its first subscription payment, the referring business gets its next eligible base subscription month free.
Section 02
Who can participate
To take part as a referring business, you must:
- have an active OperMae business account in good standing, and
- be on an eligible paid base plan at the time the referral qualifies.
To be counted as a referred business, the business must:
- be new to OperMae and not an existing or recently closed OperMae account,
- create its account through the referring business’s referral link, and
- be a separate, genuinely independent business, not another account of the same owner.
Section 03
How a referral is counted
Attribution window: 30 days.
When someone opens a referral link, we record the referral for up to 30 days. If that person creates a new OperMae business account within that window, the referral is attributed to the referring business.
Attribution is locked once the referred business account is created and cannot be changed afterwards, except by OperMae to correct an error or address abuse. A business can only ever be attributed to one referring business, and only when the account is first created.
Section 04
When a referral qualifies
A referral qualifies the referring business once all of the following are true:
- the referral was attributed within the attribution window,
- the referred business created an account and selected an eligible paid base plan,
- the referred business received its first subscription month free, and then made its first real subscription payment for that plan, and
- that payment remains intact — not refunded, disputed, or reversed.
Signing up, finishing onboarding, starting the free month, or adding a payment card does not qualify the referral and does not earn the referring business a reward. A zero-dollar invoice is not a qualifying payment. A referral that has not yet qualified stays pending. Referrals that never meet these conditions do not earn credit.
Section 05
How credit is applied
The referred business’s benefit is the free first subscription month. That month is not a second credit, and it is not issued again when the referred business later pays.
When a referral qualifies, OperMae adds one month of eligible base-plan credit to the referring business only. Credit is applied automatically against future OperMae invoices and reduces the amount charged on the next billing cycles until it is used. Each qualifying referral earns one reward. Several referrals each earn their own reward.
If the first qualifying payment is later refunded or disputed, the referral is held for review. OperMae does not remove credit automatically. After review, OperMae may decline or reverse credit that was already applied.
- Credit is denominated in your billing currency and has no cash value.
- Credit is not transferable, refundable, or redeemable for cash.
- Credit is based on the eligible base-plan amount for the applicable account at the time the referral qualifies.
- On a monthly base plan, the credit equals one monthly base-plan payment. On an annual base plan, the credit equals one twelfth of the annual base-plan amount — one month of the annual price, not a full extra year.
- Credit offsets the eligible base-plan amount only. Additional locations (currently $20/month each), additional paid seats, SMS overages or additional SMS, usage charges, other paid add-ons, taxes, and payment-processing fees remain payable on the same invoice.
- Features included in your plan continue to work normally during a credited month. Referral credit does not increase any included allowance — anything beyond your plan’s included allowance stays separately billable.
- One earned referral month is applied per subscription billing period. Additional earned months stay on your account and are applied to later periods.
- One qualifying referral earns one reward. Upgrading, downgrading, or changing billing interval never duplicates, regenerates, or increases a reward that has already been earned; the eligible amount is the base-plan amount for the account at the time the referral qualified.
- If an account closes, any unused credit is forfeited. Unused credit is never converted to cash, refunded as money, or paid out, and never creates a negative balance.
Section 06
Limits and abuse
OperMae may hold, decline, reverse, or recover referral credit — and may suspend a business from the program — where we reasonably believe a referral is not genuine. That includes self-referrals, duplicate or related accounts, fake businesses, coordinated sign-ups, incentivised or misleading promotion, and payments that are later refunded, disputed, or reversed.
Referral links are for your own direct sharing. Do not use paid search on OperMae brand terms, spam, unsolicited messaging, or any promotion that misrepresents OperMae, its pricing, or this program.
Some referrals are held for manual review before credit is issued. Review decisions are made by OperMae and are final.
Section 07
Changes to the program
OperMae may change, pause, or end the referral program, or change these terms, at any time. Credit that has already been applied to your account is not affected by a later change. Referrals that have not yet qualified are subject to the terms in effect when they qualify.
